STACKING GALLERY HAUS

Four masses are stacked in a narrow balance. Stacking Gallery Haus is a four-story building designed as a residential, exhibition and work space. The architecture harmonizes with existing surrounding buildings and creates a new landscape. The floor mass facing north is pushed back along the slope of the earth, creating a natural outer space on each floor, and the special feature of this building is the sculptural beauty of the building in this way.

 

Stacked floor unit mass was pushed sequentially, taking into account the horizontal distance of the road and adjacent buildings. This balanced 'push' created an outer space between the upper and lower masses on each floor, and an open-air space with a roof created by the protruding upper mass toward the northwest.

In addition, each floor of terraces with an open view serves as an outdoor activity space and also as a buffer space inside and outside. From the second basement floor to the first basement floor, small exhibition halls and cafes, the first floor to the office, and the second floor to the client's residence. In the case of the top-floor housing, the space created by the unique stacking of the mass is maximized, creating a large terrace space on the north side and a small yard on the south side, creating a residential outdoor space that improves the quality of life. In addition, a living room that penetrates back and forth has been created where views and family privacy can be secured while satisfying the basic functions of housing such as lighting and ventilation. This was the architect's strategy to overcome the architectural problems of steep slopes on the northern side of the ridge and the height limit in military areas within 20km of the truce line.

스태킹갤러리하우스

4개의 매스가 아슬아슬한 균형으로 쌓아 올려져 있다. 스태킹갤러리하우스는 4층 규모의 주거, 전시, 업무 공간으로 설계된 건축물이다. 건축물은 기존에 존재하는 주변 건축물과 조화를 이루면서, 이곳만의 새로운 풍경을 만들어 내고 있다. 북향을 바라보는 층 단위 매스는 대지의 경사를 따라 뒤쪽으로 밀려나며 층마다 자연스러운 외부 공간을 만들어내는데, 이 건축물의 특별한 점은 이 쌓임의 방식에서 나타나는 건축물의 조형적인 아름다움이다.

 

적층(Stacking)되는 층 단위 매스는 도로와 인접건축물의 수평거리를 고려하여 순차적으로 밀어넣어졌다. 이 균형적인 ‘밀림’에 의행서 층마다 상하단의 매스사이에 외부공간이 만들어졌고, 북서쪽을 향해서는 돌출되는 상부매스로 인해 지붕이 생기는 야외공간이 만들어졌다.

또한, 탁 트인 전만을 자랑하는 각층의 테라스는 야외활동 공간이면서 동시에 내외부의 완충공간으로 역할을 한다. 지하 2층부터 지하 1층은 작은 전시장과 카페, 지상 1층은 사무실, 지상 2층은 건축주의 주거공간으로 이어진다. 최상층 주택의 경우 매스의 독특한 적층으로 인해 만들어진 공간이 극대화되는데, 북측으로 넓은 테라스공간과 남측으로는 작은 마당을 형성하면서 삶의 질을 높이는 주거형 야외공간을 만들어 낸다. 뿐만 아니라 앞뒤로 관통하는 거실로 채광, 환기 등 주거의 기본기능을 만족시키면서도 조망과 가족의 프라이버시가 확보될 수 있는 공간이 만들어졌다. 이것은 능선의 북사면의 급경사지라는 건축적인 문제와 휴전선으로부터 20km 이내의 군사지역에 있어 높이제한을 극복하기 위한 건축가의 전략이었다.
