Hansung Computer is an online and offline computer brand that began its first steps in 2003 and is doing its best to create the best price and best products (*cost-effectiveness) with the motto “People who make good computers.” The Hansung Magok Research Center is located in the Magok District, which is being reborn as the center of the Gangseo area of Seoul. The block features an R&D Center, and most of it belongs to research facilities. The building has an unusual configuration in which three sides stand out because of the pedestrian passage on the north side and the set-back building on the south side as it approaches the east side of the road. Most of the space is used as an office building, but additional work such as R&D, testing, after-sales service, and logistics had to be accommodated as well. In addition, since the office building is the main use, it promotes the identity of the company and expresses the pride of a computer with good cost-effectiveness.
In the design, the perspective of “cost-effectiveness” of Hansung Co., Ltd., is applied in various places. The maximum area, minimum cost, and effective design were achieved. The cube-like shape for maximum volume represents a solid and robust corporate image, and the harmonious entrance of the lower slanted line contains the direction of a future-oriented company that changes with the times.
The façade is made of prefabricated module panels, which increased the construction efficiency. The shape of the module gives rhythm to the formability that may be simple through a tapered protrusion, and an aluminum composite panel, a common material as a panel mockup, is implemented as a unit module of 6m or more.
There is also a pocket park road installed outside and between buildings on the first floor for workers and a spacious and comfortable rooftop garden area. The architect tried to create a signature façade through the flow of panels that are stacked, connected, and emptied while creating a change that is stable in the streetscape. Hansung Computer’s office building reveals the company’s faith and transformative image with such a dynamic and innovative design.
효율성 높은 공간들이 돋보이는 (주)한성의 새로운 보금자리, 한성컴퓨터 마곡 연구소
한성컴퓨터는 2003년 첫걸음을 시작한 온-오프라인 컴퓨터 전문 브랜드로서 ‘좋은 컴퓨터를 만드는 사람들’은 모토로 최적의 가격으로 최상의 상품을 만드는 데 최선을 다하고 있다.
한성컴퓨터 마곡 연구소는 서울 강서권의 중심지로 거듭나고 있는 마곡지구에 위치하고 있으며, 블록의 특성은 R&D 중심지역으로 대부분이 연구시설에 속한다. 동측 도로로 접근하며 북측 공공보행통로가 설정되어 있고, 남측의 세트-백 된 건물로 인해 건축물의 세 입면이 부각되는 조건을 가진다 판단하고 계획을 시작했다. 공간의 대부분은 사옥으로 사용되지만, 연구개발, 테스트, AS, 물류 등 부가적인 기능도 함께 수용되어야 했다. 또한, 사옥이 주 용도인 만큼 회사의 아이덴티티를 부여할 수 있는 디자인이기를 원하며, 가성비 좋은 컴퓨터의 대명사로서의 긍지를 갖기 원했다.
설계방법에 있어서도 (주)한성이 가지고 있는 ‘가성비’의 관점을 놓칠 수는 없었다. 최대의 면적과 최소의 비용, 효과적인 디자인을 구현하기 위해 고민했다. 최대 체적을 만들기 위해 정육면체에 가까운 형태를 기본으로 저층부 사선을 통해 견고 하지만 변화하는 볼륨을 만들고자 했다. 외피는 프리패브 모듈 패널로 제작되어 현장 반입을 위한 크기의 한계 및 줄눈 시공작업의 효율성을 높였다. 모듈의 형상은 테이퍼드된 돌출을 통해 단순할 수도 있는 조형성에 리듬을 부여하며, 패널 목업을 통해 보편적인 재료인 알루미늄 복합패널이 6m 이상의 단위 모듈로 구현됨을 확인하기도 하였다. 외부 공간은 건물 사이에 설치된 포켓파크로 위요감 있는 공간을 제공하며, 최대로 확보한 건폐율로 인해 옥상정원을 충분히 계획할 수 있어서 사원들에게는 독립된 휴게공간을 제공하게 되었다. 가로경관에서 안정되지만 변화를 만들어내는 적층 되고, 이어지고 비워지는 패널의 흐름을 통해 시그니처 파사드를 만들고자 하였다. 이를 통해, 안정과 혁신이 함께 공존하는 건축물이 되기를 바란다.
