The site is an area with a unique atmosphere of Jeju Island, located near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and Seopjikoji. To reflect this sense of place, the embossed shape of the exterior of the building expresses the shape of oddly formed rocks piled up on the beach like the cape of Seopjikoji, and the curved roof layer expresses the vent of Seongsan Ilchulbong. The main sanctuary is designed to express the waves of the Jeju sea. This is also a functional form in which sound is spread evenly from the pulpit. A round perforated plate (sound-absorbing material) is attached on the wall at an angle to reduce resonance, and a diffuser is placed on the wall behind the choir so that the sound is transmitted to the end of the space, creating a space optimized for worship activities. Natural scenery unique to Jeju is invited into the interior of the lobby, cafe, and rooftop futsal court, creating a space for communication between users and between users and nature.

대지는 성산일출봉과 섭지코지 인근으로 제주만의 분위기를 지닌 지역이다. 이러한 장소성을 반영하여 건물 외부의 양각 형태는 섭지코지의 곶처럼 바닷가에 기암괴석이 쌓인 모습을, 유선 형태의 지붕층은 성산일출봉의 분출구를 표현하였다. 대예배실은 디자인적으로 제주바다의 물결을 표현함과 동시에, 강단에서부터 음이 고르게 확산되는 기능적 형태를 취하고 있다. 벽면에는 원타공판(흡 음재)을 비스듬히 배치하여 공진을 줄이고, 성가대석의 벽면에는 확산체를 배치해 음이 공간 끝까지 전달되어 예배 활동에 최적화된 공간이 되도록 설계하였다. 로비와 카페, 옥상 풋살장 등 곳곳에서 제주에서만 느낄 수 있는 자연풍경을 내부로 들여와 사용자와 자연 사이 소통의 공간을 이뤘다.
