이브이디는 집을 단순한 주거 공간이 아니라 일상생활의 감정을 담은 장소로 정의한다. 상하이 서쪽 근교에 있는 칭시 가든에 자리 잡은 빌라는 젊은 가족을 위한 곳으로, 자기표현이 확실한 젊은 세대의 라이프 스타일을 반영하듯 다양한 스타일이
공존한다. 조각상, 조명, 그림 등의 예술품이 공간에 자연스럽게 녹아 있지만, 새하얀 도화지 같은 벽이 많이 보이도록
계획하여 조화를 이뤘다. 천장에서 쏟아지는 자연광 또한 건축물의 힘을 보여주는 디자인 요소로 활용했다. 정오가 되면 거실 천장에 있는 아치형의 오프닝에서 반원형의 자연광이 들어와 마치 돔 안에 서 있는 듯한 특별한 경험을 선사한다. 집의 중심에 있는 나선형 계단은 자칫 단조로울 수 있는 공간을 부드럽게 마무리했다. 갤러리 같은 다락, 아이를 위한 놀이방, 여가 공간이 포함된 마스터 침실은 다양한 마감재와 예술품이 어우러져, 삶과 예술이 균형을 이루고 있다.
EVD (Everyday Design) defines a home not just as a simple living space but as a place that encapsulates the emotions of daily life. Located in Qingxi Garden on the western outskirts of Shanghai, this villa is designed for a young family, reflecting the diverse styles of a younger generation with a clear sense of self-expression. Artistic elements such as sculptures, lighting, and paintings seamlessly blend in the space, but careful planning ensures that there are many walls resembling blank canvases to achieve harmony. Natural light pouring in from the ceiling is also utilized as a design element showcasing the strength of the architecture. At noon, a half-moon-shaped skylight in the form of an arch above the living room ceiling allows a special experience of standing inside a dome as natural light bathes the space. The spiral staircase at the center of the house gently completes what could otherwise be a monotonous space. Areas such as a gallery-like loft, a playroom for children, and a leisure area included in the master bedroom blend various finishes and artworks, creating a balance between life and art.
