Dream... Park and woo

Apsan* Beltway is a gateway to the southern part of the city, which connects Suseong and Dalseo; it is a busy road with lots of traffic. Additionally, “Dream… Park and Woo” which is located in a densely residential area with Hyosung Town, Samsung Apartments, etc. and is also surrounded by the good natural environment of Apsan overlooks Apsan’s Gosan-gol and Sincheon.

The site is a polygonal terrain with a long slope stretching east and west, with excellent accessibility and view. Accordingly the architect took note of the scenery of the busy and loud everyday city and the scenery of Apsan, with people enjoying quiet and relaxing walks. So the focus of the main space was the view of Apsan’s Gosan-gol, and then the Public Space was considered afterwards.

A deck was deliberately planned on each floor, allowing the dweller to breathe and unwind as close to nature as possible, and to directly receive maximum amounts of clean air from Apsan. Functionality-wise, a brunch cafe was planned on the lower level and offices for rent on the upper levels. The mass was simplified and given a classic sentiment with a traditional 3-tiered composition, and the facade was done in a luxurious finish with elegant black zinc contrast with beige granite, which suits the brunch cafe. This morphological characteristic and space will become an opportunity for urban dwellers to escape from their daily lives at least for a little while.

앞산 순환도로는 수성과 달서를 연결하는 남구의 관문으로 교통량이 많아 하루 종일 번잡하다. 그리고 효성타운과 삼성아파트 등 주거 밀집 군과 앞산이라는 좋은 자연환경을 가진 P.W 드림빌딩은 앞산 고산골과 신천을 조망하고 있다. 대지는 동서로 길게 경사를 가진 다각형의 지형으로 접근성과 조망이 매우 우수하다. 건축가는 번잡하고 시끄러운 일상적인 도시의 풍경과 조용하고 여유로운 산책을 즐기는 앞산의 풍경에 주목하였다. 그리하여 주 공간을 최대한 앞산 고산골의 조망에 초점을 맞추고 그 다음 공용 공간을 생각하였다.

의도적으로 각 층에 데크를 계획하여 자연을 최대한 가까이에서 호흡할 수 있는 여유를 느끼게 하였고, 가능한 앞산에서 밀려오는 맑은 공기를 직접 맞이하도록 하였다. 또한, 저층에 브런치 카페를, 고층부에는 임대 사무실을 계획하였다. 매스는 단순화 한 3단 구성으로 클래식한 느낌을 주었고, 파사드는 브런치 카페에 맞는 고급스럽고 우아한 검은색 징크에 베이지색 화강석(사비석)을 대비시켜 마감하였다. 이러한 형태적 특성과 공간은 도시민에게 일상적인 생활에서 잠시나마 탈출하는 여유를 가지는 매개체가 될 것이다.
