이 곳은 단면의 크기가 40x40 정도 되는 콘크리트를 이용한 구조 보강을 비롯해 건물 유지 관리를 위한 다양한 작업이 이루어졌다. 이 복잡한 레이아웃은 텅 빈 느낌의 환경을 조성하게 되면서 명확하지 않아 방문객의 관심을 끌지 못했다. 명확한 계획을 품고, 자연과 밝은 파란 형태로 되어 디스토피아적인 미래를 연상시키고 공간의 본질적인 잔혹함을 포용하고 향상시키는 컨셉을 제안했다. 이 환경 내에서 각 기둥은 레이아웃을 정확히 보여주고, 가구 요소의 역할을 하며 대형 화분에 둘러싸여 있다. 매달려 있는 조명 박스, 무성하게 자란 녹지 그리고 완벽하게 통합된 스테인리스 스틸 구조가 분위기를 한층 더 높여준다. 이러한 분위기 속에서 피팅룸은 벨벳, 부클레 울, 초콜렛 브라운 카펫과 같은 고급 소재로 장식되어 있고 유비쿼터스한 누드 프로젝트 로고가 외부의 미와 극명한 대조를 이루며 매력적인 장소가 된다.

 

한편, 조명은 인테리어 디자인을 통해 디스토피아적인 미래를 불러일으키는 데 필수적인 역할을 한다. 공간 전체에 고르지 않게 놓여있는 형광등은 스테인리스 스틸과 공간의 순환을 설명하는 미로 같은 LED 스크린 게임에 의해 발생하는 수천 개의 반사로 강화되어 빛의 폭발을 만들어낸다. El Departamento는 기존 설치물을 그대로 두는 등 중립적인 톤으로 균형을 맞추고 새 설치물은 자연스러운 형태와 색상 및 배열을 유지하기로 결정했다. 또한, 공간 안의 세부 사항에 대한 세심한 관심을 통해 높은 창의성, 기술 및 개발 능력을 선보일 계획이다. El Departamento는 브랜드 로고로 장식된 석회 대리석으로 만든 문 손잡이와 격납고 천장에 매달린 고급 스피커 등 맞춤 디자인되어 있다. 따라서 빌바오의 이 새로운 장소는 마드리드, 바르셀로나, 발렌시아, 리스본, 밀라노와 같은 도시 전역에 걸쳐 확장되고 네트워크에 원활하게 통합되며 모두 El의 고유한 시그니처를 담고 있다.

Previously, this location had undergone various interventions related to building maintenance, including structural reinforcement that resulted in a configuration of concrete pillars measuring 40x40 sections. This intricate layout created an empty environment, difficult to articulate and uninviting for visitors. With a clear vision in mind, the studio proposes a concept that embraces and enhances the inherent brutalist essence of the space: a hangar reminiscent of a dystopian future, where nature and bright blue shapes take over. Within this setting, each pillar is encased in large planters, serving as striking furniture elements that define the layout. Adding to the ambiance are suspended light boxes and stainless-steel structures seamlessly integrated with the lush perimeter greenery. Amidst this daring atmosphere, fitting rooms emerge as inviting havens, adorned with plush materials like velvet, bouclé wool or chocolate brown carpeting featuring the ubiquitous Nude Project logo, a stark contrast to the exterior aesthetic.

 

Meanwhile, lighting plays an essential role in evoking the dystopian future that breathes through the interior design. Rudimentary fluorescent tubes, distributed unevenly throughout the space, create a burst of light enhanced by the thousand reflections caused by their impact on stainless steel and the labyrinthine game of LED screens that outline circulation in space. El Departamento decides to leave the pre-existing installations bare and homogenize them with a neutral tone, while the new ones remain in their natural form, color and arrangement. Moreover, the studio showcases its high creative, technical and developmental skills through meticulous attention to detail within the space. El Departamento has custom-designed features like the doorknob crafted from travertine marble adorned with the brand logo, as well as the exclusive speakers suspended from the ceiling of this hangar. Thus, this new venue in Bilbao, born from the collaboration between the studio and Nude Project, seamlessly integrates into the expanding network of brand physical spaces across cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Lisbon and Milan, all bearing the distinct signature of El Departamento's design.
