살롱 드 파리는 양천구 파리공원을 리모델링하는 프로젝트로 공원 자체를 문화유산으로 인식하고 보존하려는 뜻깊은  시도이다. 심플렉스 건축사사무소는 개원 당시의 공원 공간구조를 유지하면서, 원설계에 대한 복원 작업과 이용자들을 위한 편의 공간을 계획하는 등 파리공원을 다양한 요구를 담아낼 공간으로 조성했다.

 

한적한 공원에 자리잡은 ‘살롱 드 파리’의 넓은 캐노피가 시선을 사로잡는다. 주민 커뮤니티 공간으로 조성된 공간은 공원의 일부로서 존재하며 주변과의 조화를 이룬다. 파리공원을 살펴보면, 중심 축을 따라 북쪽으로 한국의 공간, 남쪽으로 프랑스의 공간이 구성되어 있으며, 전체적인 형태는 그 축을 기준으로 태극이 상징되는 원형들이 중첩된 모습이다. 이러한 기존의 축의 흐름에 자연스럽게 넓은 캐노피가 들어섰고, 내외부의 경계를 허물고 소통할 수 있도록 가벼운 구조와 투명한 유리로 마감된 공간이 캐노피 아래 들어 서 있다. '살롱 드 파리'는 파리공원의 자연경관, 공원의 다채로운 이벤트가 함께 어우러지는 공간이다. 공원과 조화를 이루는 투명한 공간은 주민들의 휴식 공간으로 사용될 수 있으며 카페, 전시, 교육 등 유연하게 사용될 수 있는 다목적 주민 커뮤니티 공간이다.

The Salon de Paris is a project that involves remodeling the Yangcheon-gu Paris Park in representing a meaningful attempt to recognize and preserve the park itself as a cultural heritage site. The Simplesse Architecture Office maintained the original spatial structure of the park while creating a space that accommodates various needs, including the restoration work for the original design and planning spaces for park users.

 

The spacious canopy of "Salon de Paris," situated in a tranquil park, captures one's attention. This place, designed as a community space for residents, exists as part of the park and harmonizes with its surroundings. When examining Paris Park, you'll notice that it is configured with Korean areas to the north and French areas to the south along the central axis, and the overall shape is composed of overlapping circular forms symbolizing the Taeguk, based on that axis. The canopy naturally fits into the existing flow of the axis, providing a light structure and transparent glass finish to break down the boundaries between the interior and exterior, enabling communication under the canopy. In "Salon de Paris" the natural landscape of Paris Park and various park events come together. This transparent place, harmonizing with the park, can be used as a rest area for residents and serves as a versatile community space that can be used for purposes such as cafes, exhibitions, and education.
