Cosmetea Pop-up Shop | Time Tunnel in a Mirror

Located on Wian Road, a historical and cultural street in Shanghai, this project has had a significant impact on the organic and subtle revitalization of the old neighborhood, making it a popular gathering place in Shanghai today. Through the transformation of a traditional dumpling shop on Wian Road into a temporary exhibition space, the project proposes a new way of life that aligns with the brand values of Cosmetea and the lifestyle of urban residents. Drawing inspiration from Cosmetea's logo, the space features a dramatic cave-like atmosphere with sculpted facades, creating a sense of drama. Despite the limited area of 9m2, the design explores endless possibilities. The "Time Tunnel," adorned with stainless steel mirrors, captures the urban and natural landscapes through large windows, blurring the boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces.

상하이의 역사와 문화로 대표하는 위안로에 위치한 이 프로젝트는 오래된 동네의 유기적이고 미세한 재생에 영향을 미쳐 오늘날 상하이에서 인기있는 모임장소로 인정받고 있다. 위안대로의 만두가게를 임시설치 전시관으로 전환하는 과정에서 코스메티아(Cosmetea)의 브랜드 가치와 도시 주민의 라이프스타일에 맞는 새로운 삶을 제안한다. 코스메티아의 로고에서 영감을 얻은 깎여진 입면으로 극적인 동굴 같은 공간이 구성되어 있으며, 9m2의 제한된 공간에서 무한한 가능성을 찾도록 만든다. 스테인레스강 거울이 사용된 ‘타임 터널’은 대형 창문과 연속해서 도시와 자연경관을 담아내며 내외부의 경계를 흐리게 만든다.
