The project locates in Tianfu New Area, Chengdu, inside the Southwest Airport Economic Development Zone. Being 14km away from Shuangliu International Airport, it is part of the New Chengdu Energy Industry District Planning. The project is east to Chengya Highway and west to South Chuanchi Road, extension area.
The site still remains the forestry texture which is unique to Chengdu Plain. The forestry texture is formed mostly by agricultural lands and fish ponds with small settlements and forests scattering in-between. Due to that, our design focuses on how to meet the restricted sloping and elevation requirement inside the project.
We also try to preserve most of the unique landform and topography from Chengdu Plain. When planning the programs and phasing of the site, we choose different topographic manipulation strategies based on their various functions: For office, exhibition and reception area, we maintain the original topography, using the existing landscape elements to design these areas.
The existing fish pond becomes the central water feature after the design. We also maintain most of the original planting without interfering the construction. The strategy is to transfer them into series of various terrace landscape merging into the topography.
For warehouses and R&D areas, considering the craftsmanship requirement and smooth topography, we decide to use hardscape to serve the purpose of fully function, using rank vegetation as main landscape planting. We also control the height of the vegetation to not block the view and maintain the efficiency of transportation.
The complex building locates in the north-western corner of the site, extending itself along the South Chuanchi road in a holistic, clean style with tube shaped cantilever structure. We choose the west side of the project as main iconic showing area, meanwhile controlling its sunshine angle.
The north side of the project is used as expert reception area. It has convenient traffic access to the complex building and connects itself to the urban main vehicular road. This area has low impact from construction development, where maintains the original topography and landscape. The north-eastern corner of the site is relatively flat, which is used as R&D center and factory warehouses. The rest of the warehouses are located in the south of the site which is in the phase two construction.

이 프로젝트는 성도 천부의 새로운 지역, 남서 공항 개발 경제 지구에 위치하고 있다. 솽류(Shuangliu) 국제 공항에서 14km 떨어져 있으며, 신 성도 에너지 산업 지구 계획의 일부다. 이 프로젝트는 청야(Chengya) 고속도로에서 동쪽, 그리고 서쪽으로 남 촨치(Chuanchi) 도로에 연장된 구역에서 진행됐다. 프로젝트의 대지는 성도 평원에서 보기 힘든 산림 흔적이 남아 있다.
이 산림 구성은 주로 농경지와 연못들과 작은 관목들과 숲이 중간중간 자라나 있다. 그렇기 때문에 설계 디자인은 프로젝트 내의 제한되어 경사로와 입면 요건을 충족하는지에 집중했다. 또한 최대한 성도 평원의 독특한 대지와 지형을 최대한 보존하려 노력했다.
프로그램을 계획하고 단계별로 진행할 당시, 다양한 기능(사무실, 전시관 그리고 안내 구역)을 따라 색다른 지형 조작 계획을 골랐으며, 우리는 본래 지형을 유지하며 기존 풍경 요소를 사용하여 그 구역들을 설계했다. 설계 후 기존 연못은 중앙의 분수가 되었다. 또한 대부분의 기존 초목들을 공사에 방해하지 않고 유지했다. 그 전략은 이들을 다양한 테라스 풍경 시리즈로 지형에 스며드는 것이다.
창고와 연구 개발 지역은, 장인 정신 필요조건과 평평한 지형을 고려하여, 인공적 요소(벤치, 분수, 계단 등)를 사용하여 완전한 기능을 충족하고 울창한 초목을 주 경관으로 사용했다. 그리고 전망을 방해하지 않고, 운반의 효율성을 유지하기 위해 나무의 높이를 조절했다.
복합 건물은 대지의 북서쪽 코너에 위치하고, 깔끔한 스타일로 튜브 모양의 캔틸레버 구조로 되어 있으며, 남 촨치(Chuanchi) 도로를 따라 이어져 있다. 프로젝트의 서쪽을 주로 상징적으로 보여주는 구역으로 정하여, 햇빛의 각도를 조절한다. 프로젝트의 북쪽은 전문가 안내 구역으로 사용한다.
복합 건물은 편리한 교통으로 접근할 수 있으며 도시 주 차량도로와 연결되어 있다. 이 지역은 기존 지형과 풍경을 유지하여, 건설 개발의 영향을 적게 받았다. 북동쪽 코너는 상대적으로 평평하여, 연구 개발 센터와 공장 창고로 사용되고 있다. 나머지 창고들은 대지 남쪽에 위치하여 두 번째 개발 단계에 지어질 예정이다.
