Since 1847 the concert halls of Musis Sacrum and its surroundings had taken on a range of different forms and positions in the park that reflected the short time needs of its operators, city officials and residents.
The project consists of a renovation of the existing monument and a new extension with a long-term planning in mind.
The extension features a large concert hall and supportive functions. The design draws its origin to the core of the institution that defines Musis Sacrum: to perform and listen to music in excellent acoustical conditions witin an attractive green context.
The inspiration of the design reflects clearly the character of the Park, the Musis Sacrum Institute and the identity of the Gelders Philharmonic Orchestra and its concert hall.
No concessions are made regarding multi-functionality and acoustics, enabling the Musis Sacrum institute to be a home for all kinds of shows and events, ranging from symphony concerts to pop gigs and everything in between.
The extension is designed as an inviting and transparent pavilion respectfully complementing the historic building in its beautiful surroundings.
The new large concert hall features a large glass window behind its stage that opens up to the park and acts as a botanical backdrop.
The unique quality consists of the fact that this huge window can also be opened for outdoor performances. Unlike its existing extension the new multi-purpose hall is positioned as a separate volume in the park, ensuring that our design gives the Musis Sacrum both the stage and space it deserves.
뮤지스 사크럼
뮤지스 사크럼 1847년 이래로 뮤지스 사크럼(Musis Sacrum)과 그 주변의 콘서트 홀은 운영자, 시 공무원 그리고 주변 거주자들의 단기적 요구를 반영한 것들로 공원의 형태와 위치를 자리 잡아왔다.
이 프로젝트는 기존의 기념물의 보수를 포함한 장기 계획을 염두에 둔 증축으로 이루어진다. 증축의 기능에는 대형 콘서트 홀과 공연 지원 기능이 있다.
이 설계 디자인은 매력적인 주변 녹지의 맥락에서 뛰어난 음향 조건의 음악을 연주하고 듣는 것, 즉 뮤지스 사크럼을 정의하는 기관의 핵심으로 그 기원을 끌어낸다. 이러한 디자인은 뮤지스 사크럼 연구소(Musis Sacrum Institute)의 특징과 겔더(Gelders) 필하모니 오케스트라의 정체성과 콘서트 홀의 정체성을 분명하게 반영한다.
뮤지스 사크럼은 심포니 콘서트에서부터 팝 공연, 그리고 그 사이의 모든 범주의 쇼와 이벤트를 위한 본거지가 될 수 있도록 하기 위해 다기능 및 음향에 관해서는 어떠한 양보도 하지 않았다. 이 증축은 아름답게 둘러 쌓인 역사적인 건물을 존중하면서 매력적인 투명한 파빌리온으로 설계되었다.
이 새로운 대형 콘서트 홀은 무대 뒤에 커다란 유리창이 있어 공원으로 열리고 배경이 된다. 이 독특한 설계는 거대한 창문이 야외 공연을 위해 열릴 수 있다는 특징이 있다. 기존의 확장과는 달리, 새로운 다목적 홀은 공원에 별도의 볼륨으로 배치되어 있어, 뮤지스 사크럼에 무대와 공간 모두를 제공한다.
