Second Parking in Uwa

 The site is located in an important preservation district called "Unomachi Street". The project was driven by building codes that focus primarily on preserving the cityscape. In accordance with the regulations, the building was constructed using traditional wooden construction methods, basic construction methods using stone, brick stacking, and stucco. Some of these elements contradict existing Japanese architectural standards, but were finalized after several structural experiments. Throughout the planning process, the building was designed to reflect the urban landscape, with native Seiyo plants and grassy areas for parking spaces to allow cars to maneuver through.

대지는 “우노마치 거리”라고 불리는 중요한 보존 지구에 있다. 이 프로젝트는 주로 도시 경관을 보존하는 데 초점을 둔 건축 규정에 의해 추진됐다. 건축 규정에 따라 전통적인 목조 건축 방법과 석조를 이용한 기본 건축 방법, 내쌓기, 치장 벽토가 사용되어 지어졌다. 이러한 요소 중 일부는 기존의 일본 건축 표준과 모순되지만, 여러 가지 구조 실험을 마친 후 완성됐다. 기획 과정 전체에 걸쳐, 도시 풍경을 반영하도록 설계했으며, 주차 공간을 위한 세이요의 토종 식물과 잔디밭을 이용하여 자동차가 주차 공간으로 이동할 수 있도록 했다.
