The planned site is a small area of 81m2. and it has been 30 to 40 years since the land has been developed. Two lots were planned together. One specialized in black tea and the other was an education space for traditional tea. The two buildings were attached side by side and each building had unity. The interior space was constructed according to the purpose and the plan was made using the characteristics of the inclined terrain. It was difficult to provide external space on such a small lot of land. The 4m road between the two lots has the same function as a small yard, and also has the function of connecting movement lines that provide space.

As we progressed with the design, an area of 40㎡ on one floor had us consider centimeters when creating drawings, and did not allow for small clearances. In a small area, all spaces have a certain personality about their own spaces and are organically combined with each other to form a larger space. Although these two buildings are small, they are tailored.

When you have a sip of tea in your mouth and smell its aroma, you feel refreshed. When you take a sip of tea, you can feel the freshness in your mouth. After taking a sip of tea and inhaling and exhaling, the fragrance of the tea gently rising from the body makes you feel like the tea and you are one body. The building is also designed to be soft, clean, comfortable, and beautiful as you stay in the space. The outside of the building is pure white, so people who come to take a sip of tea can enter the space with a feeling of brightening eyes and hearts.

오후 4시 + 명원문화재단 대구 8지부

본 계획대지는 택지 개발된 지 30~40년이 지난 81㎡의 소규모 대지다. 한 필지는 홍차전문카페, 다른 한 필지는 전통차를 교육하는 공간으로 두 필지를 같이 계획하게 됐다. 두 건물이 나란히 붙어서 각각 서로가 통일성을 가지며 용도에 맞게 내부 공간을 구성하고 경사진 지형의 특성을 살려서 계획을 진행했다. 소규모 대지는 외부공간을 부여하기가 힘든 부분이 있었는데 두 필지의 가운데 4m 도로는 작은 마당과 같은 기능을 가지며 공간의 여유로움을 주는 동선의 모임과 연결의 기능을 가지게 된다.

설계를 진행하면서 한 층에 40㎡라는 면적은 도면을 그릴 때 작은 부분까지 고려하게 했으며, 작은 여유 공간을 허락하지 않았다. 작은 면적 안에서 모든 공간이 각자 자기 공간에 대한 확실한 성격을 가지며 서로 유기적으로 어우러져 하나의 공간을 형성하고 있다. 이렇게 두 건물은 작지만 자기 몸에 꼭 맞는 맞춤복을 입게 되었다.

차는 입안에 한 모금 머금고 향을 느끼며 머리가 상쾌해지고 목으로 넘어가면서 입안이 상큼하고 깔끔해지는 느낌을 가질 수 있다. 잠시 후 숨을 들이쉬고 내쉬면 몸속에서 은은하게 올라오는 차의 향은 마치 차와 내가 한 몸이 된 듯한 느낌일 것이다. 건물 또한 은은함, 깔끔함 그리고 그 공간에 머물수록 편안하고 아름다운 공간이 되도록 설계했으며, 외부는 순백의 무지로 차를 마시러 오는 사람에게 눈과 마음이 밝아지는 느낌으로 공간에 들어서도록 계획했다. 건물을 짓기 위해서 계획부터 준공까지 함께 길을 걸어온 클라이언트에게 감사의 인사를 전한다.
